Iowans Arrested While Arresting Rove: Iowa, the Coolest State in the Union

Dude! California has nothing but Hollywood and surf compared to the truly cool citizens of one Iowa city who took it upon themselves to personally arrest Karl Rove, one of the top most evil and cruel bastards allowed to rove (sorry!) the Earth free of handcuffs. The state of Iowa legally allows for citizen arrests, and the list of alleged crimes (have to say alleged, right, even though we all know it's fact?) proposed for Rove is long and particularly juicy. The four arrestors in the Des Moines, Iowa fundraiser who tried to nab Rove last Friday claimed among their reasons for doing so,

. . . conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States in the time before the Iraq war; and treason, sedition and subversive activities for fraudulent acts leading to the deaths of 300,000 Iraqi civilians and 4,000 U.S. Military personnel . . .

They might have added in the more than $540 Billion U.S. dollars spent needlessly funding the illegal war upon Iraq, but guess that would have been too harsh. Murder and treason seem sufficient.

Others who are monstrously guilty and still allowed to rove? OJ? Nah! He's just a double-murderer—and an un-premeditated one at that. Radovan Karadžić? Naw—he's only guilty of genocide against the Croatian people. Surely only tens of thousands suffered under his orders, not to mention his more recent crime of illegally running a New Age health clinic without a license, and granted, he did get arrested last week and sent to the Serbian War Crimes Court, so that's one less scum-bag running free.

Nope, for sheer malevolence and pure, unadulterated evil, Karl Rove (and Dick Cheney and cohorts) have got to be the foulest of the foul. So three cheers for those plucky Iowans (ranging in age from 25 to 80) who truly represent the zeitgeist of American patriots. May we all live long enough to see Rove et al in the same sort of spot Saddam Hussein was in December of 2006.
