Top Ten Best Ways to Annoy a Brit

Jeremy Butterfield, a researcher in the UK, has actually received money to research and publish a book that includes such lofty provocations as the "Top 10 Most Annoying Phrases." Now, everyone knows, Brits and Yankees speak different flavas of the mother tongue. What gets on an American's nerves is likely not what gets on a Brit's. Here's the excerpt from Butterfield's Damp Squid: The English Language Laid Bare.

Damn. Why couldn't I have written that?

Here's the author's list:

1 - At the end of the day
2 - Fairly unique
3 - I personally
4 - At this moment in time
5 - With all due respect
6 - Absolutely
7 - It's a nightmare
8 - Shouldn't of
9 - 24/7
10 - It's not rocket science

Of those, the one that bothers me is "shouldn't of" because of the poor grammar.

Here's what does bother me:

1. Could care less

2. Each and every

3. I myself

What phrases bother you—for being overused, used incorrectly, or simply abused?
